SUMMARY:Diwali Celebrations and Cultural Fest
DESCRIPTION:BGS Bloomfield High welcomes the festival of lights with our annual Diwali Celebrations and Cultural Fest — an afternoon of colour\, creativity\, joy\, and togetherness that brings our entire school community together to celebrate one of India’s most beloved festivals. \nThe celebrations begin with a special assembly where students share the story and significance of Diwali — its roots in Indian mythology\, its message of the triumph of light over darkness\, and the ways different communities across India celebrate it. This is followed by a rangoli competition on the school grounds\, open to teams of students from all classes. Prizes are awarded for the most creative and beautifully executed designs. \nThe cultural programme features classical and folk dance performances\, devotional music\, short skits on the theme of light and goodness\, and a diya decoration display by students from Classes I to V. Our Art Club presents an exhibition of Diwali-themed artwork created by students throughout the week leading up to the event. \nThe afternoon concludes with a community lunch where families share traditional Diwali sweets and snacks. Students are encouraged to come in traditional Indian attire on this day. No crackers or fire-based items are permitted on campus in keeping with our commitment to environmental responsibility.

DESCRIPTION:BGS Bloomfield High is proud to announce our Annual Sports Day 2026 — a morning of athletic excellence\, team spirit\, and celebration of the sporting achievements of our students across all grade levels. \nEvents on the day include sprint races (50m\, 100m\, 200m)\, relay races\, long jump\, shot put\, and a range of team sports competitions. Students from Nursery through Class X all participate\, with age-appropriate events ensuring that every child has the opportunity to compete and shine. \nThe morning opens with a colourful march past by all classes\, led by the Sports Captain and House Captains of our four school houses. Prizes and certificates are awarded to winners and runners-up in each event. The Overall Champions Trophy is presented to the house with the highest aggregate points across all events. \nParents are warmly invited to cheer for their children. Seating is available in the gallery. The event concludes with a prize distribution ceremony and a group photograph of all participants. We look forward to a morning of sport\, joy\, and school spirit! \nStudents are requested to wear their PE uniform. Spectators are advised to bring water and arrive by 7:15 AM for seating.

SUMMARY:Independence Day Celebration 2026 — BGS Bloomfield High
DESCRIPTION:BGS Bloomfield  invites all students\, parents\, staff\, and well-wishers to join us for our Independence Day Celebration on 15th August 2026. \nThe morning begins with the national flag hoisting ceremony on our school grounds at 8:00 AM sharp\, followed by the national anthem sung by the full school assembly. Our Principal will address the gathering with a message of patriotism\, unity\, and the responsibility each of us carries as citizens of a free nation. \nThe cultural programme that follows features performances by students from Classes I through X — patriotic songs\, dances\, short plays\, and recitations that celebrate India’s freedom struggle and the remarkable journey of our nation since 1947. Students from our Music and Drama clubs have been rehearsing for weeks and their performances are not to be missed. \nRefreshments will be served after the programme. All students are requested to wear the school uniform. Parents and guests are warmly welcome to attend.
